About Rachael Ogden…

Rachael is a freelance writer specialising in regional food and drink from the North East and Yorkshire.

She is a regional food expert for www.foodloversbritain.com, and formerly staff writer for Metro Newspapers, assistant editor of The Crack and deputy editor of The North Guide. Rachael also manages food and drink events for the EAT! Food Festival in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Although she is based in rural Northumberland, Rachael regularly hightails it down to her native Yorkshire for scones and jam with clotted Yorkshire cream. Her food writing has appeared in the following:
